Jump! Jump for my love! as Pointer sisters sings! Or jump because it’s good for you! Simple and yet so efficient!

Did you know that just 10 minutes of jumping rope can provide the same cardio benefits as 30 minutes of running or two sets of tennis? it also builds up the functional strength that supports your everyday tasks ( like carrying heavy bags).

I have already written about including Jumping rope in your training routine but this time how to make it right and how to build up stamina to jump more ( just like Rocky). Read More

We all know that HIIT is the ultimate fat burning accelerator in a short time. But if you are beginner in this or not really keen of HIIt, or simply don’t have time to add additional 2 workout days a week dedicated for cardio exercises only that this might be a solution also for you. Also because with the hectic, busy and honestly exhausting lifestyle currently living, this is definitely for me.  ( I am never “selling” something that I am not believing in and wouldn’t test it myself).

This HIIT has been suggested by fitness experts in Bodybuilding and as my prefered source of information, suggestions and tips, than trusting to experts that this does work. So let’s give a try, shall we?

Have you ever wonder how does that alternative, vegetarian pizza base tastes but was kind a scared to try yourself? Well don’t worry! I experimented on myself! Must tell you – tastes absolutely great! and would never even tell that it is made from cauliflower.

I decided to give a try to this alternative pizza as a) cannot eat any bread products nor any yeast products so pizza is out of a question. (Living in Italy does not help you to resist the temptation). So I decided to give a try to this vegetarian pizza base myself.

All you need is 1 cauliflower, 100g almonds, an egg, some 100 g cheese, food processor and some patience. The last one you will need a lot.

When the sweater weather comes – it’s time to take out the heavy artillery – veggies, fruits, greens, hot dishes, to stay healthy, hydrated and get those vitamins in! A wonderful, fast and easy way to increase your green intake is smoothies!

I have been head over heels trying new recipes and going wild blending everything! Will it blend? can it blend? you name it – I have tried everything already since I got my new blender!

Absolutely love it! So basically I can almost call myself a blender babe minus blending minimally dressed; after all -it’s winter and it’s chilly to stay poorly dressed while cooking/blending/or going around the home ( let’s wait for summer for that, shall we? ) However they are cool and have some great recipes. The ones who knows me already can tell you that I love making fit food fun and delicious ( #foodporn) and this time is no exception – made a new, nice experiment for a healthy breakfast – a fit smoothie bowl. Also works really well as treat.

The thing about breakfast smoothie bowl is that it’s packed with energy, minerals and vitamins – all that you need to start the day right and so easy to make!

I always keep in my freezer some fruits and berries for an emergency smoothie or nice cream making ( because a girl needs her emergency kit.. Whatever the emergency is). Autumn days like these, when is raining cats and dogs (and you have been working and running around the world like crazy – again) and you just need some ray of sunshine to force yourself to leave the house and face the world – a nice smoothie bowl is the right thing to get you going.

When you get tired of a (forced by doctor) diet it’s time to get crafty to find a compromise of swapping the traditional morning eggs and Wasa bread for something sweeter – like overnight oats.

Been more than a month that I am allowed just to stick to some selected things and boy I miss my overnight oats and morning oats and some granola and some pancakes with home made fresh strawberry jam..mmm, and some orange juice and fruits…mmm fruits – I miss fruits. sweet temptations. BUT, sticking to my diet and being good, but yesterday had enough and said will try to find a compromise and make my overnight oats this time giving some twist to them – adding some soy milk and chia seeds.

Result was absolutely nice, (super sweet as been skipping everything sweet for so long time that even soy milk was 10 x sweeter than usual) but truly delicious. No official picture, as was too early to get all snappy and everything, but the result is the same as in pictures – good look and yummy.

Here is my ingredients for you to try yourself. Read More

We all know what is good for you and what should you be eating but sometimes, when the temptations are on every corner, (yes you,  delicious Italian gelato vendors, I refer to you) we forget about and just gave in to our cravings. As I am not in position to gave in to any temptations ( getting married and still under super-strict eating regimen) than I am here to share you some good tips for a healthy and balanced diet that might help you when you are doing your grocery shopping for the week.

Here are some tips approved by Women’s Health Nutritionist Eve Kalinik and me backing up the theory what should you eat for a healthy diet and weight loss.

To become better than the person you were yesterday you should constantly learn, practice and improve. The same is for the workout – in order to get better results you should constantly improve your technique, increase weight and practice. To keep things interesting you should always switch between routines and incorporate some new exercises and challenges in your workout plan.

This is practice that I have been always following to keep things interested and body constantly wondering in order to improve. The things I like to do is to throw to myself a challenge –  like trying out some new workout routine by some trainer, like Victoria’s Secret Angel trainer Dan.
This time I tried out Nike Master trainer’s Sonja Moses workout routine and I must say it was not as easy as I was imagining it. Definitely felt the burn next day and sour muscles ( especially butt) so it means just one thing / definitely working! So try it out for yourself if don’t believe me!

Sometimes we just cannot take it anymore the regular diet with it’s chicken/turkey,  salads and veggies and we need to freshen-up our everyday dish. My way to make the boring turkey/chicken to taste different is to make a meatballs. Which is fast, easy and delicious. as every time I am experimenting with different proportions and extras than I do not really follow a certain recipe, so just mixing up ingredients and go by intuition.

So here come my yesterday’s meatball recipe. Remember this is a fit blog and a fit version of a meatballs so no frying required, just oven -to keep it light.
