Ever now and then a girl just needs to have her blissful getaway to recharge her batteries, wind her head and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Especially after having the most stressful summer of your life: long working hours and business travels, dealing with a distance wedding organization, which happens to be your own wedding. Needless to say that after all this is over you desperately need for some peace and quite to return to being just plain & sane you.  My inner self was saved by a sun catching and Ionian coast exploring in Sicily.

Inspiration, Workout

Last 10 days has been a wild roller coaster during my business trip in Japan. When I am travelling it is really hard to maintain my physical form as well as stick to my diet. Luckily for me I was staying in a wonderful hotel at Tokyo which had a great gym with several exercise machines, so were using that to stay in shape and get adopted to the new time zone faster. (Having a good weight training or a run always helps me to get over the jet lag faster).

As a person who is quite shy than getting acquainted with a new gym, it’s equipment, courses, timings and make new friends is quite challenging for me. (Not even mentioning how strange for me is to go around a skyscraper to search for it’s gym, dressed in workout clothes. Not my preferred activity at all. Especially when my colleagues and clients are staying the same place). However I always try to not think about what others think and just concentrate on my goals and reason why I am hitting the gym. And trust me – it helps! 

As I believe that I am not the only one that has some intimidation issues with gym than will try to list some things that might make things easier also for you. (Works for me).

Today is not only a day to travel and explore but also a second check-in after starting my 31 day challenge to lose 3,5kg. Honestly – felt really disappointed with not the results I wished to see when stopped on scales this morning.. especially because last week had been working out 5times per week, eating clean but still no positive result – in contrary, had gained some some extra hundred of grams. how? starting to think that there might be some intolerance of something I have been eating so will go clean this week and exclude all the whole grains and see how it goes and will fix up a intolerance test to find out if there is something I have to exclude from my diet. Despite of the disappointment this morning still determined to keep going.

Apart that, today I am writing you from Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark! One of the nicest cities ever! Love being here – even if for a flying visit, but still one of my all time favorite cities. And as almost a professional business-traveler – jet-setter I decided to upgrade also my make-up. A lovely city calls for a lovely make-up, right? Actually I am kind a no-make-up-the-best-make-up type of girl, but sometimes I do like to make my eyes and/or lips pop. Especially in Spring – when everything is getting greener and colorful.

Last weekend I saw this wonderful picture of Cara Delavingne wearing a lovely blue eye liner under her eyes and decided to give a try myself – so add it to my beauty boughts together a new mascara and  hit the closest Sephora store. Read More

I know yesterday was a Workout Wednesday but do to a technical reasons was not able to update my blog but today we are back in business and I am ready to share with you a reason, a colorful reason that motivates me to workout, keep pushing harder and striving for progress.

You know what is the thing that inspires me working out? Results! My own results! and progress to see how my body is changing and improving. Especially nice when you receive a nice and sincere compliment that you have a beautiful legs. Outside is gray and rainy and I would rather stay in, under blanket with warm cup of tea and some good book“..if this would be a valid excuse to stay home and not go to work – I would definitely use it at this rainy Monday, but unfortunately it is not the case and have to force myself to leave the house and start another work week.

These kind of rainy days makes me wonder and and think about the things I wish to do and achieve as well as look back on things that I have already achieved and how many things have changed over time and how much I have changed over the time. If 5 years ago I would prefer to have million cheap outfits of a poor quality than now it is not the case anymore – i prefer to have one good quality garment in place of 4 cheap ones, the same for shoes (used to have countless pairs of poor quality shoes that killed my feet after 5 min walking.. but that’s not me anymore as well. I guess with the age it comes wisdom (mostly from experience).

Easter is over and holiday as well so it means just one thing – that also my lovely Fit girl spring holiday contest on Instagram is over, well the first one at least. This was the first time for me organizing a contest like this since starting my blog 2 months ago however already can assure that will not be the last one!

It was truly great to hear from you girls how you keep fit during your holidays: some were doing cardio, some yoga, some others was watching out on what to eat and were drinking plenty of water instead of sugary drinks. I am sure that everyone has their own tricks that makes you feel fitter and allow yourself to treat you with some extra Easter pie or piece of chocolate and do not feel guilty afterwards. What was my trick? I went running outside on evenings, went for walks in the city and hit the gym (leg day), all that to cut myself a slack and allowing myself to eat some traditional Southern Italy Easter foods and try some sweets. Although this week will be recouping with gym and returning back on track with my diet-after all – Summer is coming, so stay tuned and let’s get back on track together!

Every girl has her weak spots – some of them has bags, some shoes (we all love pretty pair of shoes, don’t we? ), some nail polishes and some other one beautiful dresses – for me it is something all of them but if I have to name my favorite one it is definitely workout gear and colorful outfits (including workout pants and leggings and shoes) and travel gear. When I travel I like everything to be organized and as light and compact as possible (so just in case I still can find some space in a bag for a last minute, must-have purchase).

Every time I head to Nordics or Baltics I check out their latest trends, sales isles and some healthy choices. and believe me or not – every time I find some really good value deal. (I like to consider myself as a smart buyer so I prefer hitting sales or go to some outlets or keep my eye out for some special promotions and to keep diversity I do that wherever I go -that’s why I have a wardrobe from all around the globe).
