Inspiration

For many of us work week starts on Monday and the same for a workout, a new workout program, a new diet, etc. Everything in the end starts on Mondays. Which is cool for many people and used by 99% I know, but getting older (5 days to go-O.M.G.) I have realized that I don’t want my workout week to start on Monday. It just doesn’t work for me.

Why I don’t want to start on Monday anymore? Because it’s too much to handle and sometimes too long to wait that meanwhile you just find some excuses to be lazy, eat bad or postpone starting all that good fitness and training objectives that really could make a difference, so when monday arrives you already start with a guilt of missed/not done exercises, skipped diet/clean eating and being overall lazy – to sum up – you start with minuses and probably you are also less motivated. Inspiration, Me & My Beau

On Motivational Monday it should be all about motivation and inspiration to get you going so let’s not make any exceptions and will share you my motivation on the week.

So the bad news is that after 6 months fighting to get rid of the results of my summer intoxication in Portugal ( which despite on unfortunate events did not ruin that wonderful road trip). turns out that I have a partly conclusion – I won a gastritis! (yeah, how you get that in your twenties, you will ask? Well intoxication and stress, my friend. Stress is the root of the evil. Telling you!).

Needless to say that have been quite down because of this – uncertainty, pain, discomfort, medicine, gym&workout skipping due to that, which has lead to a weight gain and slight obsession of losing the weight, work traveling and mental exhaustion of all work overload. So let’s say this fall hasn’t been the most relaxing, BUT finally I am one step closer resolving the issues – first, I have diagnosis and second part of exam results will come in 2 weeks.  Honestly I am quite glad of this diagnoses because I finally know what it really is and I can start fixing it.

Inspiration, Me & My Beau

Dear April,

Be good and I promise the same!

This is my monthly inspiration and resolution for April! First month that is not planned any crazy work trips, so looking forward to do many things: catching up with gym and get back on track with progress (summer is coming, squeezing cheeks like Kevin from Home Alone).

Summer is coming!

That’s basically what I did yesterday (first day in gym)! All progress due to month of travelling and sickness has been ruined! Needless to say that did this face like for 5 minutes before managed to get myself together and get determined to fix this in April (so people don’t do this when see me at the beach this summer! hihihih )

So today feeling positive, determined and ready to change (my) world! so here comes also some piece of my energy and inspiration of the  Monday ad resolution for the whole month!

Another Monday starts with a weight-in! Already 3rd since started the 12 week challenge! This time – a positive one! And for a good news to start the day :  minus another 500g and everything goes like a plan! So far, so good! My strict training schedule has been obeyed pretty well and start getting used to it and therefore also first results. Since the start – minus 1kg. Woot! woot.

So my Monday is pretty self motivated with the first results achieved. Now just need to keep on going, focus on goals and get rid slowly from some bad habits – like my espresso with milk and incorporate some more different greens for a variety of my diet.

Loving the below plate – looks fun and delicious. Wouldn’t mind to receive dish like this in some raw bar/ restaurant.

Eat your greens

Eat your greens!

The next thing to stick to the list is to keep self motivated and look ahead – so today: shoulders and back and no excuses! + adding some inspiration picture of the day to keep going!

will keep you posted and updated and of course reach out for ideas and suggestions what to do, see and visit during my Portugal road trip!

What is your Monday inspiration?

New week and new challenges, new starts and new adventures. Not sure what this week will bring me but I am sure that I am going to make the best out of it. Today I am off to London for a fair (looong, looong hours spent in it and no real London enjoying , which is a pity, BUT work is work and so I am not complaining even more because on Friday I am off to Guernsey – (Channel Islands) for a long weekend to meet my friend and celebrating my nephews 1st birthday. But before I go I want to share some of my inspiration of the day to keep you motivated,  inspired and encouraged to go after your dreams, work on yourself and improve!

As lovely Audrey Hepburn says:

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!

Dream a little bit bigger

Dream a little bit bigger

Sometimes we need a little pink note to remind you that you can always dream a little bit bigger and stopping at “good” is not enough – you deserve more! Strive for excellence! Make yourself proud! Whatever you are doing!

keep going

Don’t give up and get inspired

And Ryan..well he knows that squats are good! so keep on squatting, girl! Good motivation, huh? Works for me and my booty and not planning to stop till I will not be satisfied 100% with my fitness results despite on every obstacle that holds me back! ..and you shouldn’t too!

WHAT’S YOUR MONDAY MOTIVATION?

Inspiration

Another magic Monday when the agenda is full and need additional sticky note (like couple of them) to note down everything that must be done today, this week and all month. Must say that October has started to me not relaxing at all: I have re-started teaching, working out, dieting, catching up with emails and works (after traveling the most of the month), friends and family.. not easy I must say, but keeping up and than in the middle of all this madness broke a tooth and had an emergency visit to a dentist’s that finished with pulling it out and getting hooked up with antibiotics.. Needless to say that all my workouts are suspended for the week..

BUT I am back! I am back and recharged and having even set up my wonderful agenda for October with Kerrie Hess Monthly calendar. (Don’t know what I would do without one. So sign up for her newsletter and get one for yourself). You can check her illustrations in her homepage. So lovely! (Can’t wait to have one of her illustrations hanging on my living room.. still a small obstacle – do not have a living room.. yet!)

Anyway, back to Monday and Monday motivation and monthly lists! Super charged and inspired and already planning to re-start my 6am morning runs to catch up with my health, setting up a new workout routine to get that booty shapin’! after all – have to go to a wedding (3rd one) in 3 weeks! So this months motivational picture iiiissss…..

Lifting motivation of the month by Luxquotes

As Japanese proverb says ” Fall down seven times, stand up eight”!

And this is what I am doing! No giving up, just picking where I left and moving on and always striving for progress because I know I will succeed in the end! So no sulking no wining just working hard and smashing goals and having new adventures and everything done!

Next things on my list – London on Monday for business trip/fair, Guernsey island on Friday to visit my friend and participate in my lovely nephew’s 1st year birthday! (Good aunt in me is excited!) and than wedding in Calabria in 3 weeks! And that’s only the traveling part, there is still working, teaching, working out, dieting, blogging part as well..oh yeah and Halloween (It must be celebrated too! Pumpkins and dress up like every year! )

Can I make it all? I am sure I can and I will!

What about you? what’s your plans for October?

Motivational Monday – How to get fitter and happier

Past couple of days has been so emotional and filled with mixed feelings – joy, stress, love, friendship, fatigue, thrill, adrenaline all because one of my dearest friends were getting married and I was doing my best to make this day beautiful and memorable to her. I believe I lost couple of kilos in last 2 days by running to manage everything on time, to help with surprise decorations at her house, the party place and organizing some fun activities after the ceremony. Of course the day after I was exhausted because went to be bed only at 6 am, but was definitely worth it (and as says my friends grandmother :” who is coming to wedding to sleep?!”, so no complaining about lack of my beauty sleep.

All the event, kind words and the whole atmosphere made me pensive the day after making me think of several things, like friends, family, attitudes and comments, surroundings and food as well as personal life and the way I have chosen to live it.  I realized that so many people want everyone to be the same, to stick to the same social norms, standards and have the same lifestyle and interests that’s hard for them to accept that someone has chosen to live their lives as they wish them to and as they find it better for themselves. This is where so many people does not see the line of things that can be discussed and said and when it’s better not to cross it. Read More

Workout

Every time I am traveling my choice for airport reading falls to Women’s Health magazine UK as it is full of interesting things, workouts, tips and confessions – not only entertaining but also educational. Especially I love to see the workouts by star trainers and fitness experts as always find something exciting and new to try out or include in my gym routine to spice it up a little. This time was not an exception as decided to challenge myself by doing their September issue workout by star trainer Dan Roberts

As a person who loves to experiment, improve and throw challenges to myself  than I was immediately intrigued and where determined that must test immediately this world famous trainer method: Mindfulness together with martial-arts Hiit

Mostly I was curious to see if this workout actually does something, like makes me feel my muscles ache the day after. Let me already anticipate you – it does. OMG, it does. The day after was bad, especially for my groin muscles where destroyed by doing 100 knee strikes per leg (1st exercise), as this is a muscle that is trained really rarely or superficially, well at least my case.  Read More

Labrīt! This means Good Morning in Latvian! Greetings from my week off from Milan’s heat. As each of my Latvia’s trip it’s always planned and organized till last minute, BUT that doesn’t mean that I have forgot about my training schedule and clean eating. And so shouldn’t you! Just because it is vacations doesn’t mean you can let yourself go completely and forget about your fitness objectives and ruin all your progress with screw-everything-I-want-to-eat-everything! and let’s-work-out-when-I-am-back-home kind of attitude! Sure it’s ok time to time not be hard on yourself and let you enjoy some sweets, traditional-typical food and skip some workout. That’s all fine and understandable – that’s why the vacations are for – to enjoy them and rest your body and soul. The same is for me, but with some limitations – I do enjoy some traditional food and some dessert and time to time skip workout but still keep my eyes on my goals and fitness objectives and not lose all progress, as starting from beginning is always harder than maintaining your progress. After all it’s all about balance and knowing what you want for the moment and what’s your long term goals. Read More

Have you ever seen those girls in pictures posing on their hands or standing on on 1 feet or on head and look amazing and give a fun, fresh and new way of posing for pictures? Well I have and since than one of my fitness objectives has been to learn a handstand so I  can give an artistic, acrobatic and fun twist to my pictures too. Already put this on my visual board and to-do list for 2015 (which you can check here) so there is no backing out – just have to do it.

The first thing I did to get closer to my objective was Read More
