Fall is asking for not only season garderobe change but also for local veggies and fruit season change. Even though apples are all year around fall has the best time to enjoy fresh and juicy apple just from the tree (or local farmer’s market) full with those vitamins and antioxidants, or in a different recipes – like baked apples.

I love apples in all forms and in all recipes and therefore experimenting with them always. Baked apple recipe is my latest obsession: fast, easy, healthy and delicious.

My latest recipe inspiration comes from Katie at Some Bits and Bobs blog. I went for adopting her Vegan Gluten-free nut crumble served in apple recipe and this is what I came up for – a healthy and easy baked apple dessert that’s perfect for breakfast or as a fit snack. Read More

Fast to prepare and need just 4 main ingredients but still delicious and filling – so win-win situation to those who want something sweet but the same time fit and something that allows you to stick to the diet (especially helpful before Christmas holiday).

The main things you need is a peanut butter and Sweet potato, some cocoa powder and some flavors for taste+ oven and a little bit of your time. Printable recipe sheet below. (HERE is recipe how to make a peanut butter at home, like I always do. SO EASY!)   Read More

Fridays are perfect days to experiment and try out some new recipe – this time I went creative and decided to give a try to a salty cake. As I have never tried one before than it was quite a challenge to see how it goes and I must say it turned out absolutely wonderful, delicious and so much more easier than I thought! BUT, there is always a catch! The patience! Oh, boy! you need a patience to slice and roll, slice and roll. When I realized that all the slices of the veggies must be the same size I hated myself as I knew it will be a looooong preparation process..and indeed, it took me like an hour to roll it, so not planning to repeat it anytime soon, even if it was one of the most delicious things I have ever made.

As this is recipe is really easy, healthy and delicious than it is an absolute must try! Will positively impress your friends/ family at a dinner/lunch party everyone! And I mean EVERYONE! So here come the recipe. Read More

Going bananas for bananas! This statement is so true about me (almost like Minions). Add peanut butter to bananas and you have captured my heart. Not because it is extremely good to you but also because this combination is a perfect snack to incorporate in your diet and to loose weight.

On my workout days I am always having a half or baby-banana (bananito) with a 1 1/2 teaspoon of a peanut butter (home made. So easy to make so check out the recipe here).

The great thing about banana is Read More

It’s finally Friday again! The best phrase ever for my ears today! Yesterday’s Nike 1 mile challenge got me like ” mum, I don’t want to go to school work today”. it’s been one hell of a week at work, gym, workouts, running, organizing, socializing and working on summer projects, challenges (like #JourneyToSplits challenge. About which you can read here and still join it!)  that today I feel destroyed that all I want to do is to be at home and just chill, hit the bed early and wake up and have a lovely piece of Banana protein bread with a big cup of green tea for a super breakfast to regain my strengths and get back on track.

Unfortunately the beautiful breakfast was last weekend and not sure if will be able to wake up early tomorrow to make another one, but definitely will be cookin’ which I love to do – so relaxing!

Actually it is funny but I have never tried traditional banana bread and I do go crazy for bananas! Just so you know traditional banana bread is primarily made out of sugar, white flour, and butter. Even though it features a fruit—the almighty banana—banana bread isn’t healthy. It’s mostly sugar and fat. And as I am fit chef that likes to tweaks recipes than this was a good case to try my own healthy version of it by customizing Annas Sward’s Banana protein bread recipe and adding my own experience.

If you want to try your own Banana Protein bread – here is the recipe. Easy, pretty fast, healthy and so delicious!   Read More

Last week has been difficult for me to remain on track with my workout and diet as went to Germany for a business trip for 4 days, and always when travelling eating right is one of the hardest tasks to full fill especially when you have limited food options and are obliged to eat out. For me it has been always an extra hard task to do to watch out to those calories and find the right food and combinations to stick as close to possible to my eating schedule or to close as to daily caloric intake as possible.

Last trip has been extra hard for me as had days when I knew I am not going to see anything healthy for whole day (indeed, had offered just pizza for lunch) which was dreadful so I just did not touch it. To make matters worse I got to the dinner only at 20:00, luckily for me I had predicted something similar to happen so had an apple and a power bar with me to resist the day. Read More

As a wise lady Julia Child once said – ” a party without cake is just a meeting” and I couldn’t agree more especially when it comes to birthdays. However as much as we would love cake for that particular moment  afterwards there is always a regret feeling, especially when we talk about carrot-walnut cake – my favorite.

Last weekend was my boyfriend’s brothers 25th birthday and as we are all clean eaters than had to find some alternative to have his birthday  candles put in somewhere. After a short brainstorming I came up with a marvelous alternative how to have your piece of cake “clean and lean” and completely without a guilt. My solution was a protein cake – a Banana and Blueberry Protein cake.
Really fast, easy and oh, so delicious! here is how:
