Me & My Beau, Travel, Workout

The best thing that always get be on track and helps to overcome a jet lag is a training. A good weight or a cardio  training the day after arriving to help to adjust to the new rhythm and time zone. As all last week I spent Tokyo and had a pretty hectic and busy meeting schedule that having a training was the best thing. Luckily for me I found a wonderful fitness center – NAS Sports club  – fully equipped gym in the same building as my hotel in Osaki, Tokyo.

As this was a real gym than could easily stick to my training routine during my stay which made me truly happy especially as been on my strict training and dieting regime since beginning of the year.

The gym is spacious, offers all the types of regular weight machines as well as free weights for an efficient weight training. (had a killer leg day that were sore for next 2 days).  Read More

Being in my 4th week of training and diet schedule I have started incorporating additional tools, exercises and variations to keep constantly my body challenged and pushing the limits. This week I started adding jumping rope to my exercises to get that heart ticking and that fat shredding.

As usually Saturdays I have cardio and when the weather allows I am having my Muay Thai lessons outside. And as with every fighting and combat/ cardio workouts is a perfect addition to add jumping rope to it, just like Rocky does. Read More

We all know that in order to shape up booty we must exercise (and diet), but to get the best results (for ladies) the biggest emphases should always be but on weight/ strength training especially on lower body parts : legs and butt. As today is a Workout Wednesday than I would like to share some of my routine at gym for efficient booty lifting exercises I have been doing, and I must say have improved quite a lot. (Hello tight dresses).

The first thing is to not be afraid of lifting weights or trying some machines when you are at the gym because that is where you can really make some notable changes by lifting weights (and NO, you will not become bulky or a bodybuilder, especially women – it just not happen!) . Of course if you are a complete newbie you should ask someone to show you a round. better if it is a trainer (not a random, good looking guy that seems to be knowing what he is doing. Might turn out he is clueless and just comes to gym to pick up girls.. so bet on the safe side and search for a professional trainer).

Here are a simple training plan you can do at gym when you have a leg/butt day.

We all know that hotel gym’s usually does not really offer much possibilities for an efficient workout and that could substitute a proper gym, usually offering just a treadmill, a mat and maybe a bike and couple of weights if you are lucky, so you have to be pretty creative to get a proper workout done. Luckily for me, Novotel West Hammersmith London had more to offer and made my staying last week there way easier.

The gym itself is not big but offers quite a space and some basic machines: like treadmill, elliptical, rowing and bicycles and in addition multi function weight training machine, fitness ball, step, bench, mats, and dumbbells. Basically basic things to ensure you a good training.  Read More

Inspiration, Workout

Last 10 days has been a wild roller coaster during my business trip in Japan. When I am travelling it is really hard to maintain my physical form as well as stick to my diet. Luckily for me I was staying in a wonderful hotel at Tokyo which had a great gym with several exercise machines, so were using that to stay in shape and get adopted to the new time zone faster. (Having a good weight training or a run always helps me to get over the jet lag faster).

As a person who is quite shy than getting acquainted with a new gym, it’s equipment, courses, timings and make new friends is quite challenging for me. (Not even mentioning how strange for me is to go around a skyscraper to search for it’s gym, dressed in workout clothes. Not my preferred activity at all. Especially when my colleagues and clients are staying the same place). However I always try to not think about what others think and just concentrate on my goals and reason why I am hitting the gym. And trust me – it helps!

As I believe that I am not the only one that has some intimidation issues with gym than will try to list some things that might make things easier also for you. (Works for me).

Inspiration, Workout

Buongiorno Milano! I am back from my one week (seems-like-one-month) getaway to Latvia and ready to get back on track with my training and clean eating lifestyle. Also I expect this to be an exciting week as well as going to switch up my gym workout schedule for a new one and implement some new exercises and techniques to give some extra boost to my progress and of course also to lose that extra kilos taken from all the barbecues, gatherings, wedding and lack of exercises(hit the gym just twice, BUT did it properly with my friend Martins and fitness mentor. Here is a sneak-a-peak from our Leg day – did not walk the next 2 days properly).

Recently I have been asked what I am doing to switch up my workout/ exercise routines to stay motivated and the answer is simple – variation and not letting yourself to get too comfortable. I constantly try to challenge myself to push harder, if the weights getting “lighter” I am adding some extra kilos therefore constantly trying to beat my own best and not letting those muscles get too comfortable. My Saturday mornings are usually spent at my regular gym, but last Saturday’s  back and chest day was at a new place – at McFit newly opened center here in Milan. As a lady with an desire to explore and try-out myself everything before talking about the things, I was instantly ready, when my boyfriend told me that they are offering free trial day and if I feel like going to check it out. Sooo, this is what I did – yep! I signed up for a gym! summer is coming and why not atleast try to look better, if you can and even more if you have an adorable flatmate going with you?
it’s is always more fun if you go somewhere together, especially taking up loads of courses!
so yesterday I took this Joy Fit-something class. where you basically dance and make some cool dance moves! (move like Jagger)  the teacher – Bruno, a young, fun guy around 25, is a really good dancer and I guess that was the reason why his class was so full with ladies all ages!
as that was not enough, i took an Acqua Fit class with a trainer who was all the time screaming, and as he was looking like Patrick Swayze it made it really funny, so i was laughing that we have a dirty dancing course in water till neck!
in conclusion – recommend to everyone to make yourself proud and do something for your health and shape! let’s see how it will go – summer will be here in 3 months!

goal

p.s. once more I have came to conclusion that i am really hyperactive and have way too much energy!
p.s.s. nothing hurts today – awesome! i am ready for more!
