New Year, but the habits stays the same – staying fit even on the road. Also my trip to Dubai, was not an exception and managed to squeeze in workout even on my heavily packed meeting schedule. Luckily for me, in Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers hotel I was staying was a quite good for a hotel gym to perform a proper workout.

The gym itself was quite spacious divided in 3 sections: free weights, cardio machines facing windows, therefore also for early birds like me, could catch sunrise and functional zone. Read More

The story about fit friendship or beginning of Fit Vibe Hunters

If following my Instagram stories you might have noticed a new, fit friend of mine – Filipa, who is Portuguese and which I met at my gym trial my second day in London. ( Yes, I went to find a gym, right after arriving and free trial is always the best thing to do if you are new at some place and wish to squeeze in that workout.)

As everything I do also this simple thing turned into an adventure, because the regular things does not happen to me, there is ALWAYS some story involved. I made a new friend at my gym trial day – Filipa with who we become instant friends as we are very similar souls with same interests and same view to the life. Since them we have been working out and hanging out together – just hunting good vibes – our adventures on Fit Vibe Hunters Instagram.  For what makes this more amusing – her boyfriend is Latvian. How about that for a coincidence?  Read More

London through my eyes

Since I moved to London, this June, the life has been a roller coaster. Not only because I didn’t have a proper break before starting a new job and switching countries but also because I have been running ever since to catch up with the tempo of the city, new work and affront new challenges. (Like how to get a bank account and internet at home).

But once that is settled you are basically a local! I mean wifi that connects automatically when you come home, bank card was just matter of time and patience, a lot of patience and some good persuasion skills and explanation skills why my surname in Latvian passport has been spelled differently and all other documents has a different surname spelling. BUT! Adventures is that usually finds me and to be honest last five months has flown by. Read More

Exploring the green paradise in London – Kew Gardens

It’s been just over a month since I move to London and I have already found my new, favourite place in London – Kew Gardens. It’s a botanic garden in a middle of busy London ( and not any botanic  garden – an UNESCO Botanic garden). A magical place, I must say: quiet, spacious, unique, dreamy and so peaceful that even a peacock is enjoying a stroll there.

If you are searching for an alternative place to visit when next time in London – Kew Gardens is the right spot. In summer they even offer a wide range of outdoor activities including concerts and exhibitions, so make sure you are not missing out.

See for yourself my first impressions last weekend.

Playa del Carmen Christmas getaway was like a dream come true! Putting bikini on during winter period and hit the beach, dance in the sand, swim with turtles and sleep under palm trees! This was probably one of the most longed trip I have ever had in my life – just to get away – far, far away where the sand is white, ocean is blue and the life is colorful just like the murals, city and people in Mexico.

Usually in adventures in new countries I plan many things I wish to try, taste and see, but this was slightly different trip – this trip was to seek a peace, relaxation and a proper getaway to recharge batteries, reflect and reconnect with the life, priorities and simply enjoy life. Read More

If I can tell you one tip about Sicily, which is totally worth the hustle, than it is – climb Etna, my friend! The best view ever as far as you can see! The air! the clouds! The experience! A blissful road trip to Sicily’s east coast

Ever now and then a girl just needs to have her blissful getaway to recharge her batteries, wind her head and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Especially after having the most stressful summer of your life: long working hours and business travels, dealing with a distance wedding organization, which happens to be your own wedding. Needless to say that after all this is over you desperately need for some peace and quite to return to being just plain & sane you.  My inner self was saved by a sun catching and Ionian coast exploring in Sicily.

And it was just lovely! So colorful, sweet and simple that recommended to anyone to go for a roadtrip in Sicily and see for yourself! Read More

Road trip from Porto to Lisbona – 3 friends exploring Portugal

Between the madness of organizing wedding and business trips I finally have managed to get my hands on my camera and to get all my photos on computer from my last trips including Portugal adventure.

Despite it was just couple of weeks ago, seems that year has passed by as so many things has happened in between. However it is nice to see the pictures and get that lovely nostalgic feeling of the holiday fun with my girls. Already can’t wait to go for a next adventure with them.

We voted for a road trip to get that freedom and luxury to choose what time to wake up, where to stop and what to see on the way so we rented a car. Less we knew that renting car online trough supplier and actually picking it up and having an extra contract would cost us double for insurance, but we learned our lesson to never take insurance online, but directly Read More

Portugal is famous for her sea dishes, especially for sardines, and what could be a better lunch option than having a fresh fish dish at the seaside right after an crazy morning between plane catching, check-in struggles and car renting misunderstandings? For us finding this small , local all-you-can-eat restaurant with fixed sardine menu was the highlight of the day and actually – of all trip as the best local food experience.

Our lunch stop was at – Mar a Vista. This place I came across as best local place recommendations in Trip Advisor. Which actually provided pretty accurate visitor description of the place and the order of the day: ” They bring you grilled sardines, potatoes and salad, then they bring you more sardines, some more potatoes and salad, and than some more sardines and some more sardines, and when you feel like you cannot eat anymore they bring you more sardines…till you stay stop!” ( From our experience – stop was not enough! we had to say “Stop” for 3 times together with “basta, basta!”  and some hand gestures to stop bringing as we had already plenty. But boy, I tell you – those were one delicious sardines!  Read More

” Surfing is a physically demanding sport. You need to be strong, flexible and have excellent endurance. The fitter you are, the longer you’ll be able to surf for. The faster you can paddle, the more waves you’ll get”. This quote by Surfingsite truly sums up the necessity of being in a good physical shape to try out your first surfing experience.

And I can definitely second this statement for being in a pretty good physical shape myself, but still here are some of my suggestions what helped me to get the best out of my first surfing lesson in Portugal last week. Read More
