So I am back! Not 100 % recovered yet, but back on my feet and ready to pick up where I left before getting down with a acute bronchitis.. Sounds bad? well it was. Fever, muscle pain, dizziness. BUT that’s over and glad to getting out of bed and feeling energy returning every day more and more.

As much as I would LOVE to return to gym immediately I know it would not be a wise idea, especially being down for more than 10 days, so what I will do is to set up a recover plan to picking up with training and workout. Of course, when you sick you have to forget about dieting too as the only goal is to recover the body before getting back there and dieting, but of course – eating clean is a must, so slowly picking up.

Second thing is exercises. Usually my training week consisted of 4-5 training days. Now for this week and the week to come I am going to do it gradually so this week 1-2 training – light activity but starting this Friday only. No heavy cardio nor HIIT in order to not get back down and stress too much organism.

The end of next week can start of doing some more heavier lifting. But so far will work out just half amount of training regimen and just with resistance band and no weight exercises.

workout band is my bff on my travels, so usually do that when no gym is available.

I have this nice K-well band with which I usually do whole body exercises and stretching afterwards – totally useful.

Here is a list of exercises to pick it up after recovering from sickness:

Me & My Beau

Today is first day in 7 days I am able to sit up straight an actually sit to the computer and do something. Been sick as a monkey for last week and basically all I did was staying in bed.

Actually cannot really recall last time I had so high fever, muscle pain, headache and such a bad smokers cough, if ever had one so felt even worse as not used to be set still for such a long time especially when I have so many plans and things to do. However not everything always depends on us and guess some higher power wanted me just to slow down and give my body and mind a break for a week…and I just had to let it. No gym, no workout, no working, no nothing – just bed, medicine and relax.

So my best components to survive this crazy week was : Read More

Fiber  is definitely not the sexiest substance on the planet but definitely useful one as the research shows that it definitely key on fighting to lose fat if consumed average 30g daily* however average European eats just 18g. The reason behind is that fiber keeps you satisfied and fuller with fewer calories for longer therefore preventing hunger cravings.

It does not mean you have to go crazy scanning all the product labels next time you are grocery shopping, all right? Simple upgrade to your daily meals is enough and here is my top 10 to improve your fiber intake easily.

Travel, Workout

If been following my adventures than already know that last week were in Tel Aviv for work and as were there for 4 days than I had to adjust my workout schedule to the travel one doing my workouts on the road. Luckily form me in my hotel (Carlton – which, BTW, is A-mazing!) had also gym facilities so put my mind on peace and packed my workout equipment before hitting the road.

As a determined lady who never skips leg day, I woke up along with the sunrise and to hit the gym. Not because I would be an early bird, but because when I am on the road there is just no way to find a time for an evening workout so prefer to rise with the birds to have one.

Inspiration, Me & My Beau

I believe that the last years the pace of life has definitely picked up leaving less and less time for our friends, family and especially for ourselves. This hectic lifestyle, when you try to manage everything: stay on diet, lose weight, increase muscles, sleep, travel, meet friends, relax, read a book (gosh, don’t remember last time when started and actually finished the whole book less than in 6 months), build your career and invest in your future, etc. Everything is sooo much that you just cannot manage everything or just living on the run and have to say “no” to things just to manage to get through the day.

For me it has been especially hard last month as been traveling every week, working not human hours and have no time free for nothing and no one, not even myself to stick to my diet and workout program I started as my new year’s resolution. And men it is so frustrating as I supposed to be arrived at a point I could show off my progress, but no, instead I am lacking sleep, taking 7am flights every week and working till midnight + skipping gym. To sum up – no good progress so far that makes me completely frustrated and upset and sad, however this feeling are not going to change nor improve the current situation so just need to make a choice how I wish to proceed: feel sorry for myself and drop everything or just pick it up and keep going!?(..what it will be, giiiirl? ) Read More

How to get the best of Tel Aviv on a busy working schedule

So I am back from my crazy work travel in Tel Aviv and I must say it was one adventurous ride despite of the business trip. Definitely not the calmest and most peaceful place to visit nowadays to get a peace of mind. My mom was petrified when told her I have to go there for work, but I honestly can tell you that I was kind a looking forward this trip as always wanted to see the place as in my mind it was so different – enchanting in a way, and when occasion arose that I had to go there to represent my company in an event – I had all those mixed feelings – thrill for having a new adventure and slight fear of unknown and newspaper headlines flying by of all terrorist attacks, bombing and everyday war alerts..

However  my collaborators and partner living there was truly welcoming and helpful organizing everything (even airport pick-up ) that made matters easier and once they sent me the hotel recommendations along the beach – all my doubts were out of the window and couldn’t wait to go. Read More

Workout

People who knows me would call me a gym bunny and healthy lifestyle lover and I guess that’s true (guess trying to write a fitness dedicated blog makes this statement legit) and guess that’s why the reason sometimes girls reach out with some workout advice or their fitness updates they wish to share with me. (Which I love, BTW. I am always happy to help. Let’s call this my mission – help people to create the best version of themselves and help as much as I can from my best knowledge – so feel free drop me a line).

Couple of days ago a friend of mine shared her idea to try 30 day squat challenge..and I couldn’t help but frown hearing it. Sure I was glad to hear that she wishes to have a fitness challenge and improve her physical aspect but this was just not the right medicine to work miracles as many people believes. And it’s not their fault, it’s media, fake profiles promoting results after their 30 day challenges, before and after pictures, that are actually found on internet and “borrowed” from real people or just plainly photoshopped. All these things gives us impression that after a 30 day challenge, not only squat challenge, we will have this amazing body: lifted and round booty, perfect beach body or super toned arms.

Of course it’s wonderful to believe and trust me – I have been there, believing that a challenges and a short term workouts found on women’s magazines would give me my dream body, but unfortunately been deluded way too many times, as I believe, rest of us, when thinking about the result and being inspired from a star/unreal people social media profiles and magazines. The thing that makes us all believe that it can be done is comparison with others. Stop doing it! It will take you nowhere!

But don’t get me wrong – I love challenges! They inspires me. Like trying out some model fitness training program, like did with Dan Roberts (trainer for Victoria’s Secret Angels) training schedule. Or the Blogilates challenge – Journey to splits.  But despite truly admire the girl and were performing religiously my stretches every day I did not manage to have my complete split just because I started from proper newbie/beginner level and expected to arrive where others would after years and years of training and practice. (If don’t believe me – check my experience and photo check-in). Just saying that you should never compare someones middle to your beginner and underestimate the work behind it.

Consider the fact that this 30 day challenge has to be tailored to everyone according to their genetics, physical level and lifestyle.
