How to avoid snacking or Food cravings explained

We all have our preferences and we all have some kind of food that is harder to resist than other. Some has mom’s homemade apple pie, somebody a milk chocolate and somebody cupcakes with a chocolate icing. Some people, like me, has just general food cravings and mostly when we are bored our hands are reaching out to take some sweet or candy which is in our sight. Sometimes we just want something salty – like potato crisps or something oily – why it is so and do we really know what we need?

Workout

Lately I have been asked how and when to work out when you have absolutely no time for it but still want to do something. Well the answer is easy – schedule in advance your tasks and days and make the workout flexible so you can do it at home too after waking up or before dinner or even lunch break- whatever suits you the best. I am sure that everyone will find 15 minutes 3-5 times per week to start/get moving.

This is what I do even on my most busiest days or fullest traveling schedule I try to find the time to squeeze in some 15 minute total-body workout to remain in shape if hitting the gym or going running outside is out of a question. Read More

Me & My Beau

Easter is over and holiday as well so it means just one thing – that also my lovely Fit girl spring holiday contest on Instagram is over, well the first one at least. This was the first time for me organizing a contest like this since starting my blog 2 months ago however already can assure that will not be the last one!

It was truly great to hear from you girls how you keep fit during your holidays: some were doing cardio, some yoga, some others was watching out on what to eat and were drinking plenty of water instead of sugary drinks. I am sure that everyone has their own tricks that makes you feel fitter and allow yourself to treat you with some extra Easter pie or piece of chocolate and do not feel guilty afterwards. What was my trick? I went running outside on evenings, went for walks in the city and hit the gym (leg day), all that to cut myself a slack and allowing myself to eat some traditional Southern Italy Easter foods and try some sweets. Although this week will be recouping with gym and returning back on track with my diet-after all – Summer is coming, so stay tuned and let’s get back on track together!

Inspiration

Some people are looking forward holiday with a joy – some, like me,  are having split feelings- from one had – can’t wait to relax, sleep and get some time off the every day busy life, from other hand looking forward with a doubt for the holiday that will come and ruining the progress achieved, clean eating and workout graphic. For me it is extra difficult to remain on track with clean eating and my timings as having a pretty full workday with my own rhythm and timing: for eating, sleeping and working out. Once comes holidays, especially a long ones and away from home, it is almost impossible to eat at 8am my oats, have second breakfast at 10:30 with a chicken, workout at 20:00 and hit the bead at 23:00.. So every time coming back from holidays are pretty traumatic as I need to get back to track and catch up to point where I left off therefore serves an extra motivation to not give up and get demotivated. Every country has their own tradition for Easter, one of my favorite is Easter egg coloring with natural colors as after you put them on a festivity table, exchange with neighbors, family and friends for neighborly living.  (Also for this reason my family usually go for 30-40 egg coloring as you need to eat them, exchange them and fight them as well).

Easter morning starts with your colored egg finding inside your house or garden (where usually Easter bunny is leaving them) together with some nice card, chocolate and marzipan egg. Inspiration, Me & My Beau, Workout

Happy 1st of April! As already a tradition, beginning of every new month I am setting for myself goals what I want my month to be like! I am currently on my second day of Spring holiday in South of Italy (where sticking to a diet is almost IMPOSSIBLE – as first rule of South of Italy is to Eat and ask for more), so for me sticking to my strict diet it is a quite a struggle, even if I have all my workout gear packed with me and dedication to stick to my fitness goals – I must say it is not easy, not easy at all. To stay focused and my eyes to the ultimate goal (Planning to lose 5kg by the end of Spring) I have set up my Spring Visual board slightly more workout and motivation related to keep going and to resist sweet temptations and hope to inspire you as well. Today I am off to holiday to South of Italy for one week and it will be a real challenge for me to keep following my strict diet and to keep active, but I am determined even if the struggle is real. Every girl has her weak spots – some of them has bags, some shoes (we all love pretty pair of shoes, don’t we? ), some nail polishes and some other one beautiful dresses – for me it is something all of them but if I have to name my favorite one it is definitely workout gear and colorful outfits (including workout pants and leggings and shoes) and travel gear. When I travel I like everything to be organized and as light and compact as possible (so just in case I still can find some space in a bag for a last minute, must-have purchase).

Every time I head to Nordics or Baltics I check out their latest trends, sales isles and some healthy choices. and believe me or not – every time I find some really good value deal. (I like to consider myself as a smart buyer so I prefer hitting sales or go to some outlets or keep my eye out for some special promotions and to keep diversity I do that wherever I go -that’s why I have a wardrobe from all around the globe).
