The best healthy recipes you don’t need to chew

The best healthy recipes you don’t need to chew

It’s Friday and it means it has been five days since I have been eating just liquid food. (Monday had a dental intervention therefore having couple of stitches in my mouth. Nothing serious – all in the name of health). Must say it has been quite hard not b able to chew anything and as been starving than had to adopt to my new conditions, that hopefully won’t last for long, and get innovative and blend everything. Basically having my own Will Can it blend show by bending everything.

First days has been pretty rough so had been drinking just smoothies and some shakes but last days already get more advanced and start experimenting and already made some nice purees. (Tried kids meals and processed soups at beginning, but when realized how much added sugar and sodium is there I quickly decided to make my own dishes. Must say proud and satisfied with my results therefore if you are having some troubles of chewing or just looking for some inspiration to change your diet-  here is my liquid, fit food ideas.

Breakfast

Smoothies or semolina mousse. Recipe you can find here.  Or black bread slice blended with banana and Greek yogurt.

Lunch. As for my lunch I decided to go with some soups. So went with Cold red beetroot soup, Mushroom and chicken soup and carrot pumpkin soups with lentils or farro.

My best friend in kitchen is my hand mixer as well as food processor (mixer). without it I would be lost. Must have in any kitchen!

There is no secret how to prepare a soup, I just boil all my ingredients till soft and than blend them when cooled down.

The same principle I made also my Pumpkin, carrot soup with lentils and farro (today’s lunch – already cannot wait). Full of proteins and rich with vitamins.

One of my summer favorite is cold beetroot soup. My version is just blended. still the taste is as good as if I wouldn’t blend it.

Dinner. So far I have been always eating some ready purre or soup during evenings but last night made some nice alternative – mushroom, spinach and avocado puree with turkey. Preparation as normal dishes (separate each of them), except avocado and than you just blend it together.

The result is not so appetizing but delicious and colorful and so healthy.

Snacks. Of course you cannot survive without snacks so I went with fruit smoothies and Greek yogurt with berries to get through the day and get right dose of nutrition to make it through the day.

My last nights favorite – strawberry, watermelon and red plum smoothie. More smoothie recipes and ideas can find here.

It has been tough last 5 days struggling with pain and changes of eating habits, but nothing is impossible as long as you have a will and initiative you can still eat clean and delicious, so no excuses.

What’s your favorite, liquid food?
