Inspiration

..and just like that, another month has passed! and we can proudly say: ” Hello….

We want it or not the time flies, especially when you have many things to do. And this April has definitely one busy-bee month! 

First of all, I can say that been pretty good with diet sticking and working out regular, no traveling and eating clean and already seeing and feeling results! Clothes getting looser and seeing better body definition! Yeah, baby, yeah!

So this month is getting worse and worse on the busy-factor, because, well..emmm because this lady is getting married in 3 months! YES no joking! it’s happening, so no time to lose and especially when such decisions are taken last minute..

So can only imagine how many things to settle ( specially if you organize wedding from a distance) and more over now it is time to really get that fat crying because the ultimate prize is THE dress – the wedding dress to look absolute (my) best in it!

Getting in the Shape for a cause

So basically now it is the time to really get going! And actually already started good fundaments! Last month been going to work with my lovely bicycle (8+8 km) as an transport + extra cardio ( useful on days when you cannot squeeze in any workout).

Also got my first swimming lessons, that I ma truly proud of! it’s happening! Finally improving to skills that been wishing to develop forever! So no more words – just actions!

..this is how I felt before my first swimming lesson!

Must say was soooo anxious and worried and definitely felt liek a fish out of the water. Especially as my mind was believing that I am too old for doing this and should have done it as a kid and my time has passed now. However my trainer was pretty cool and got me over this false concept pretty fast, so I am ready to take over the seas, go snorkeling in deep waters (which was afraid before and missed my occasion in Thailand).

..did miss this opportunity in Thailand as was too afraid and not confident at all about my swimming skills. ( Mostly did not want to be left behind to a sea creatures for lunch). 

But now I am facing my fears and learning to swim like I should to not miss this kind of occasion again!  So this May planning to get even better at this to take over the sea this summer!

Another thing planned this may is travels to organize everything for wedding: dress, location, catering, wedding planner and everything related. Wedding is in Latvia, but the outfits are chosen in Italy so Florence – here I come (this weekend!)

..and than of course creation, sending, saving, collecting, pinning and “hearting” Wedding moodboards on Pinterest and We Heart It is so on!

Let’s admit – it’s quite fun spending lunch breaks, and morning in public transport by checking out ideas, crafts and inspirations to pull together your own idea of your dream wedding.

To sum up – this month is going to be flying by, so let’s try to look to things with a cool head and from a different perspective and try to make the best out of it: with loosing fat and not the head! ( could be a slogan for a t-shirt! hihi )

Be good and I promise the same! 

This is my monthly inspiration and resolution for April! First month that is not planned any crazy work trips, so looking forward to do many things: catching up with gym and get back on track with progress (summer is coming, squeezing cheeks like Kevin from Home Alone).

Summer is coming!

That’s basically what I did yesterday (first day in gym)! All progress due to month of travelling and sickness has been ruined! Needless to say that did this face like for 5 minutes before managed to get myself together and get determined to fix this in April (so people don’t do this when see me at the beach this summer! hihihih )

So today feeling positive, determined and ready to change (my) world! so here comes also some piece of my energy and inspiration of the  Monday ad resolution for the whole month!

I believe that the last years the pace of life has definitely picked up leaving less and less time for our friends, family and especially for ourselves. This hectic lifestyle, when you try to manage everything: stay on diet, lose weight, increase muscles, sleep, travel, meet friends, relax, read a book (gosh, don’t remember last time when started and actually finished the whole book less than in 6 months), build your career and invest in your future, etc. Everything is sooo much that you just cannot manage everything or just living on the run and have to say “no” to things just to manage to get through the day.

For me it has been especially hard last month as been traveling every week, working not human hours and have no time free for nothing and no one, not even myself to stick to my diet and workout program I started as my new year’s resolution. And men it is so frustrating as I supposed to be arrived at a point I could show off my progress, but no, instead I am lacking sleep, taking 7am flights every week and working till midnight + skipping gym. To sum up – no good progress so far that makes me completely frustrated and upset and sad, however this feeling are not going to change nor improve the current situation so just need to make a choice how I wish to proceed: feel sorry for myself and drop everything or just pick it up and keep going!?(..what it will be, giiiirl? ) Read More

I am not the lady who dress up to be noticed at gym. I am the lady who does not like to be noticed at gym, even more- does not liek to be disturbed when working out. I am a lady who do not wear any make up when working out, as I know it is not good for my skin and would be ruined anyway by the sweat, but I do like my outfit to represent my personality and mood and gives me confort depending on the activity or training I am going to perform. The same thing is for my hairdos – I do not keep loose my hair at gym as they are too long and would just make me nervose and also would bother me while lifting or running. Therefore depending on the training and workout schedule I always take care of my hair and keep them neat and organized to mess around (and not to get it on my way).  

So today will tell you about my favorite hairdos for gym.

Inspiration

One week around of my challenge of my intensive training program and the feelings are exactly as they were on Friday – sore! Really, truly, sore. Just this time adding sore legs and booty (gosh, I have been missing out on training and now my body is making me suffer for that), topping to already feeling in pain I am also feeling destroyed, sleepy and honestly pretty deluded as this morning weight-in did not see any change on my weights.

However I said to myself: you can be sorry for yourself or you can do something about it to change it and learn the lesson out of it. And this is what I did!

Fit food & Drinks

It’s been 5 days in my no-cheating, no-excuse new workout and diet challenge of 84 days and I must say I feel great! Been following my training schedule and managed to stick to all of them as well as all meals and timings. 

Sure there is also a downside, that been hungry, like, hmmm, how to better put this – all the time?! And sore, oh gosh been feeling sore like crazy (and leg day is only tomorrow..). But determined to keep up with my schedule (which you can see  HERE and download also a template to start your own training). 

As for food – I am getting on the track with the meals as well and eating 5 times per day with moderation portion.

Your own New Year’s fitness workout tracker

New year, new you! This is my New year’s motto, resolution and objective! Been the craziest end of the year so far and not entirely in the fittest and healthiest way to be completely honest with you.. However 2016 has arrived and it gives you another chance to start over or take it where you last left off. For me it is with the fitness objectives, that I wish to take up where I left it more than a month ago. 

I could tell you everything that happened and add some excuse on the top but the truth is – there is not point of that, as it will not really change the situation. Did I work out last 3 weeks? Honestly ? No. But do I feel bad about it? Definitely yes! (Of course 1 week I was sick as a monkey and did not get out of the bed with a bad fever, but that’s gone as well), 2 weeks I am here in Calabria at my boyfriend’s family over holiday and no working out as well as A – everything is closed, B – it’s not really the right place and time to do it when you are visiting family and C – I lacked of motivation as where so tired, exhausted and just needed a rest to regain strengths,will and inspiration.. and you know what? It worked out splendidly!

I am inspired, motivated and fully recharged to get the shape of the life! 

So this is what I have been up to last couple of days – I designed my own workout calendar – tracking board to keep my progress.

Inspiration

Believe it or not but tomorrow is already 1st day of December! The year has flew by already and there is left just 3 4 weeks to Christmas therefore it is time to bring out those last year’s resolutions and double check what’s still left uncrossed out since last year, and it is the last time to still catch up with some works and promises.

Of course some of them will not be able to full fill, like learning a handstand (was my resolution, but did not manage to learn it properly), therefore I am not going to kill myself by doing it and get upset with myself that I didn’t but instead will just look back and analyse/think what went wrong and how can I improve and if still it is in my wish-list. (Already saying – it is! So not giving up on that). But this is my suggestion for all things that haven’t been done and you wished you was – don’t stress about it instead think how to improve and adjust some goals to do it.

What’s more important than is to spend this month in peace, think of things you are grateful in this year, make plans to visit friends and family already before Christmas, not just Christmas day, call up some old friends ( call today, why not? ) or just send some nice, cheeky note from past memory that will make smiles and lift spirits! Will see how it will bost your own mood too.

Happiness is contagious! So spread it!

Another my suggestion is to make some visual board – mood board of the month, just like I did . Even if it is cut out of magazines and put on the wall, or Pintrest collection or even We Heart it (can check out my Winter dreaming Mood Board there, to avoid magazine cutting (spent all night preparing my inspiration boards for next articles and collaborations).

And of course use the December to catch up with all the works you have been postponing and not pushing hard enough. Want to go to gym?

(Tip – on January gyms are overcrowded by guilty people after Christmas holiday and it might cost you more than now).

 

Want to lose weight? Don’t wait tomorrow – set up a plan and set Christmas as your goal (or first step) and insist on it! No excuses and hot cocoa temptations. (I have set for myself and started when got back from Latvia and already down by 1,1 kg! however still 3 weeks to go! (Already know that holiday’s will not be able to ht gym and will not be able to cook much (going to Calabria – South of Italy to spend my holidays there with my boyfriend and his family and honestly – can’t wait!

Prepare your own gifts! Make a minute and think of the gifts for each person! Invest some time and put a thought in it! After all Christmas time is not about gifts and not supposed to be stressful. it supposed to be being together, sharing joy and great moments! What’s for me – it love wrapping paper and just low ripping joy!

Ripping open wrapped gifts guarantees always giggles and chuckles when you start screaming: “RIP IT! RIP ITTTTTTT!!!” So think of that!

If you are good at cooking or not, (Even better, it will be more appreciated) Think of baking some cookies/ granola bars/ ginger bread cookies/cakes/muffins/ jam! and wrap them nicely. Trust me- everyone will appreciate more than that regular scarf/ tie.

Lastly don’t forget to head out and do something you like, reset your mind, read a book or go for a nice walk in Christmas markets / mountains / park – better in a company!
