Fit food & Drinks, Travel

Portugal is famous for her sea dishes, especially for sardines, and what could be a better lunch option than having a fresh fish dish at the seaside right after an crazy morning between plane catching, check-in struggles and car renting misunderstandings? For us finding this small , local all-you-can-eat restaurant with fixed sardine menu was the highlight of the day and actually – of all trip as the best local food experience.

Our lunch stop was at – Mar a Vista. This place I came across as best local place recommendations in Trip Advisor. Which actually provided pretty accurate visitor description of the place and the order of the day: ” They bring you grilled sardines, potatoes and salad, then they bring you more sardines, some more potatoes and salad, and than some more sardines and some more sardines, and when you feel like you cannot eat anymore they bring you more sardines…till you stay stop!” ( From our experience – stop was not enough! we had to say “Stop” for 3 times together with “basta, basta!”  and some hand gestures to stop bringing as we had already plenty. My mom was petrified when told her I have to go there for work, but I honestly can tell you that I was kind a looking forward this trip as always wanted to see the place as in my mind it was so different – enchanting in a way, and when occasion arose that I had to go there to represent my company in an event – I had all those mixed feelings – thrill for having a new adventure and slight fear of unknown and newspaper headlines flying by of all terrorist attacks, bombing and everyday war alerts..

However  my collaborators and partner living there was truly welcoming and helpful organizing everything (even airport pick-up ) that made matters easier and once they sent me the hotel recommendations along the beach – all my doubts were out of the window and couldn’t wait to go. Read More

It’s been just 3 weeks since I came back from my Japan trip, but feels like a year ago as my life has been a roller coaster since because been running and rushing all the time to manage everything but despite the madness succeeded even to squeezed in Octoberfest  in Munich.

I am not saying that my Japan trip was less hectic and peaceful but the weekend spent in Beppu (Beppu prefecture of Japan, best known for their hot springs. People have them at homes, can you imagine the luxury? )was definitely less busy than other days and could enjoy the wonderful Beppu at Kyushu island and it’s onsen – hot springs.

Honestly speaking one weekend is not enough to enjoy them properly especially if want to go to some special recreation places and do the sightseeing. You have to choose. Our choice was sightseeing – next time will be the recreation part. Read More
