As a conscious consumer I always check the labels and hidden sugars in my food I discovered how much added carbs and sugars are in processed spreads than I decided to make my own peanut butter. It is fast, easy and result is absolutely delicious. Here is how.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

full bowl or as much peanuts you want. I used 250g (when cleaned so around 350-400g with shells).

1tbs peanut oil

You will need: frying pan and food processor and some patience to clean peanuts.

When they start to get thicker – add a tbs of a peanut oil. (can be used other oils as well, but I prefer this one).

Step 4.

Voilà! your peanut butter is ready to be taster and served. For a complete smooth-pasty result you can blend them longer, however I stopped this time at at “crunchy” level.

This is my comparison with the Calve and Skippy ones. do you see the color difference? Also when checked the nutrition information was surprised how much added sugar is in these processed ones that since than – I always make my own peanut butter. Also it costs a lot less than shop-bought (at least in Italy).
