How to warm up before any boot camp even on bachelorette party

Every bachelorette party is different, some is calm, some is wild, some involves naughty tasks and games, but some has full of surprises – like a boot camp in a middle of forest as part of a list of tasks and exercises to complete to become a proper wife. This is what exactly happened one of my best friends bachelorette party last week in Latvia, where each of girls had to be responsible for an activity or two and as I am the sporty one – I had to lead the wake up warm up as well as warm up before the boot camp/ survivor in a forest for a team building.

As we all know before every activity one should properly warm up, even before unknown ones – like a challenging team building/boot camp in a forest. As a professional – military guy was asked to organized the activity than even I had no clue about it, so did my best to prepare girls for every kind of challenge and avoid injuries. Read More

3o day challenge of splits by Blogilates are officially over so it is time to make a review of how the second half went to a complete newbie in yoga/pilates – me!

To be completely honest with you ( and myself), that I must admit that while my vacation in Latvia I was able to do just 2 days of stretching instead of remaining 6 – not because I did not want, but physically I had so full agenda, that I arrived home every day at midnight completely overwhelmed and exhausted that were no good to do a proper stretching. Therefore this check in will be only for the progress I made, as I decided to add extra 2 weeks to complete and follow the Cassey guide till the end to see where I can arrive at standing split.

So far I have been seeing quite a progress in my flexibility as been doing my stretches every day religiously so can admit  it’s definitely working! Below is my photo check in how the rest of the days went.  Read More

Workout

it’s been just 4th day of my vacations but already seems that I have been here for 2 weeks as so many things has been done already – Bachelorette party, home warming parties, sightseeing, baby seeing, friend gatherings and so many more things, like workout and being trained by TeamFisher. Must say got some issues with stairs and hair combing the next day but you know what they say – better sore than sorry. I am totally not sorry, just sore.

Usually when I go to gym I like to train alone to concentrate better but time to time it’s important that someone couch you and push you harder and and check your performance and I had a perfection occasion to improve my performance by training with professional athletes – with TeamFisher.

The video is a little preview – how my leg day goes. These are some suggestions what girls can do for legs to build definition of for legs and butt. No! you will not become muscular like a body builder if you lift weights – not happening! Look at me, if you don’t believe me. I lift heavy weights for 2 years already and still not getting bulky – just seeing some better shapes – that’s all. SO don’t be afraid to touch the weights at gym and ask for an advice to a professional trainer.

My video leg day routine goes like this:

warm up for legs.

4 sets of 15 repetitions for all exercises with 1min pause in between. (weight per choice or possibilities. If you are a beginner – start with lower weights and increase over time)

  • Squat
  • Leg press
  • Walking lunges with weights
  • Stiff legged deadlift with barbell
  • Lying leg curls
  • Seated Leg curl

Some of the exercises are in my weekly schedule as I am working for that butt lifting and having nice legs).

What About you? What’s your target to improve in your body??

P.S. The T-shirt is appropriate as it was a Monday workout.

Workout

As always I am paying a flying visit to Germany (Yesterday Stuttgart and today Frankfurt) for business meetings. But even on a tough schedule I try not to skip a workout day (and Wednesdays are workout days) therefore wherever I am I try to squeeze in a quick cardio/ HIIT or workout session depending of my agenda and meeting schedule.

As unfortunately my connection is really faulty than going to be brief but still l want to share my morning cardio blast in my hotel room (this time staying at design hotel- 25hours by Levi’s, despite of connection – really liking this trendy place). My adventures in live on Snapchat and Twitter) that could and SHOULD be replicated also in your trips or busy mornings (no excuses).

Quick Cardio blast

Warm up. Walk 5 min on a spot or a light jog.
(Do the 30 seconds for each exercise and move quickly into the next).

  • High knee sprint on the spot (as fast as you can)
  • Mountain climbers
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Burpees
  • Squat jumps
  • Air skips
  • Lateral skater jumps
  • Jog on Spot
  • Tuck jumps
  • rest 30 seconds
Repeat for total 2 to 5 sets
Cool down and STRETCH!

You will see it will energize you for the rest of the day!

What about you? Have you ever worked out during your trips/ holidays in a hotel?
Workout

It has been exactly 14 days since I threw a new challenge to myself – to sign up at Blogilates #JourneyToSplits challenge – 30 days and 30 stretches to learn a split from a standing position.

Honestly speaking it has been pretty tough these last 2 weeks with work, assignments, teaching, blogging, working out, and every day chorus that must be done that it was hard to add another assignment to already busy schedule of mine – like dedicating every day minimum 10 minutes of stretching, BUT as July is a month of challenges and also standing split is something I have always wanted to learn, than despite of all difficulties and obstacles I have been having my stretches every night.  Read More

First Nike event Milan – So Fast – check!

Happy Monday hot Milan! Ready to confront another work week? I am! Determined, charged and ready for new challenges and achievements – one step at a time!

If you were following me on Twitter and Instagram you already knew that went running a mile with Nike Training Club Milano to show how fast I am. and I must say, it went even better than I thought. Hadn’t been able to run more than a month not even talking about speed running, so was pretty nervous but all good that ends good and just jump right in and confront my fears just by Doing it without too much thinking! (too much thinking kills the courage, so I am not hesitating but just taking opportunities and accept challenges when they comes in front of me without much consideration if the feeling is right.)

It was such a great pleasure to meet and see so many smiley, active and positive people at one place and coming together to do something fit and just enjoy their Thursday evening sporty not by regular bar hopping and Milan apperetivos, even though there was a bar – a juice bar with a freshly squeezed smoothies to recharge our batteries after our mile along the Naviglio.

July is for challenges

Happy 1st of July, hope it’s every where as sunny and lovely as it is now in Milan. well, actually maybe a little bit too so instead I would rather prefer to be at beach in beautiful Liguria, but still – not complaining, enjoying sunny Milan Summer days that are still full with things to do, see and experience. especially because here is held World Expo 2015, so city is buzzing with events, attractions, tastings, activities on every corner.

For me beginning of each month is new goal setting and things to look after. July for me is taking up and accepting new challenges, mostly fitness ones. Already mentioned that joined Nike Training Club Milano and did my first competition last Sunday, now taking second challenge tomorrow – So fast Day Milan to have a 1 mile run. (Wish me luck! Haven’t been competing and speed running since high school so feeling a little bit nervous but excited at the same time! )

Than on Monday I saw another wonderful challenge by Blogilates – 30 Days & 30 Stretches to Splits! That Read More

Time indeed flies and feels like just yesterday was 1st of June while it’s almost over and it means that has left just 1 month to my second part of my fitness challenge with myself – to burn fat and increase muscles. First par has closed pretty successful – 2kg but looks like 5! Proud of that. Second part – should go for just giving more definition to muscles as shredding is going hand-in-hand with that. (Remember, the more muscles you have, the faster you burn fat), so this week is all about speeding up the rhythm and trying also some new things.

Last week I joined Nike Training Club Milano and re-download N+TC app to take part in their challenges (first one was yesterday – to track your workout or run with Nike apps and afterwards share on their social networks with the #BetterForIt (about this project you can read here.)  I must say I have pretty hooked with this new challenge and joining the Nike club that already looked up for the next challenge (this 2nd July, Milan) there will be So Fast day. You can still register and come to run a mile and try the new Nike Air Zoom Elite 8 e Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32 shoes. So if you are in Milan, come and join the challenge. Subscriptions here. Have you ever seen those girls in pictures posing on their hands or standing on on 1 feet or on head and look amazing and give a fun, fresh and new way of posing for pictures? Well I have and since than one of my fitness objectives has been to learn a handstand so I  can give an artistic, acrobatic and fun twist to my pictures too. Already put this on my visual board and to-do list for 2015 (which you can check here) so there is no backing out – just have to do it.

The first thing I did to get closer to my objective was Read More

Another weekend has gone by and here we are on Monday, making lists and plans for the week ahead of us, well at least that’s me and how I start every week – with a reflection of the previous one and planning the things that have to be done, obtained and achieved this week. Of course there comes also motivation and inspiration dose, which is absolutely necessary to give the right tune to the week. The amount of it depends on results and sum up of the previous week. As last week was spent trying to lose that extra kg taken during my Sicily getaway. Must say I am half way there and this week motivating myself to lose the other half and a little bit more so today I need some extra fitspiration, motivation and maybe some evil sarcastic gym humor to get me going and if you are like me – keep reading.
