How to avoid food contamination and get rid of the toxins

Oh, hello sunny Monday! Another weekend over and another work week is ahead of us with new aims, goals and plans, like, for example, getting rid of the toxins! we all, of course, have heard about toxins (A  poisonous substance produced within living cells or organisms that can be small molecules, peptides, or proteins that are capable of causing disease on contact with or absorption by body tissues interacting with biological macromolecules. Ref. Wikipedia). In other words toxins can badly affect your immune system  which are taken by environment and mostly by the food we eat causing diseases, allergies, sickness and for sever cases even death. 

There is no really a good way to avoid taking toxins by environment or pollution or people around you, but there is definitely a way to avoid them coming to your plate.

Here are tips for food shopping and label reading to avoid food contamination: 

Read the ingredients on the packages and avoid food containing:

  • Spot for chemicals you don’t use in your own kitchen. Words like: azodicarbonamide, carrageenan, potassium bromate, soy isolate, brominated vegetable oil, and partially-hydrogenated vegetable oil;
  • Refined sugar & flour. Words like: refined flour, enriched wheat, high-fructose corn syrup, sugar, and anything ending in –ose.
  • Artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors. Words like: caramel coloring, saccharin, aspartame, acesulfamepotassium, dyes, diacetyl, and just plain “artificial flavoring.”
  • Preservatives. Words like: sodium nitrate/nitrite, BHA, TBHQ, BHT, heptyl paraben, and propyl gallate.

Also, make sure you are using beauty products without such names and are as clean-as-possible not containing all these words. Actually there is super nice app that you can check how clean is the product and it’s called Think Dirty App.  And you can scan your bathroom products to see how clean and what exactly they have in it and how good are they! Of course you can try to avoid all the bad things in your food but that does not mean that you will avoid getting toxins in your body from the environment you are living in (like you cannot really influence the air you are breathing, unless you move to Alaska or North Norway woods.. or can you?! ). So basically the only way is to try to reduce your body impact and get rid of them somehow!

The best way to getting all the bad things leaving your body is drinking loads of water (2-3 l per day) and exercising! we all have heard the good phrase – sweat-it-out! And indeed it is a natural way how body releases the toxins.
