Exhausted but happy last night I got back from a weekend getaway in Calabria (South of Italy) where I was attending a friends wedding. As my boyfriend was the best man than the occasion could not be skipped (despite I had to travel for 8 hours with 3 different types of transportation just to get there). However – definitely worth it!
The first rule of each attendant of the wedding is to dress up to look great but not to shadow the bride (expected cat-fight or ruined relationship if you will! So pay attention!).
As it is South of Italy and the weather was still nice than I decided to use to occasion and bring out, some last time some hot colors. Just like peperoncino (the Italian red hot chili pepper), I decided that we have to team up in red. And this is what we did – went with a ruffle, pencil slim dress by Guess (as it was skin tight than were extra careful with my diet last couple of weeks to look good in it).
Unfortunately as it was too chilly than had to cover it up, so no (nude) pictures just with the dress to show the long decoltè on back (pity though).
Before photo shooting with the groom.
The grooms little one was dressed exactly like his dad to make the occasion even nicer.
Rule number two – complimentary accessories to compliment the look.
I went for a neutral make up and red lips by Ted Baker London exclusive set and a zebra bag by Zara.
Rule number three – match the details.
Like my boyfriend went with red details (matching tie, shoe laces and napkin) to match my outfit and I must say that we looked exceptionally great together in pictures. (#win)
Once ready and the groom was still posing for their wedding book we went for our own silly selfies book.
Here you can also see my light make up apart from the lips.
The wedding was held in a Archeological Museum – Protoconvento Francescano in Castrovillari, Calabria – a wonderful place that looked even better by night when the ceremony took place.
and here is the bride coming down the isle wearing a wonderful Princess style wedding gown and accompanied by her dad.
Once they said YES! was time for the party in a wonderful vineyard near by.. But these pictures will keep to myself, but here is the cake cutting time.
So this is my sneak-a-peak from a wedding getaway to wonderful Calabria.
And how was your weekend?
