When you are tired of tacos and fajitas and roasted chicken in Playa del Carmen, or you have stopped partying and wish to have some healthy meal and get back to your clean and healthy eating habits., it’s time to visit Bio-Natural vegan restaurant and shop.
This place i first noticed while exploring Playa and instantly knew that this will be definitely my next favorite place in Playa. And I was completely right!
Away from the buzz behind the Shopping Mall on 5th avenue, but still in the heart of the city is located the restaurant we visited for a lunch and some grocer shopping for home cooking. (As we prefer always cook ourselves 70% of time when we travel).
The spot we choose for our lunch was facing the street just because we wanted to see the world passing by and also hide away from the bad weather and rain clouds that were coming and going all day.
The menu offers wide range of selections starting from special breakfast offers to proper meals and appetizers. All natural, organic, vegan and so delicious.
This is what we tried:
Our meal started with a hummus and freshly baked pita bread. Mmm,giving you that warm and cuddly feeling, especially when starts raining cats and dogs out of a blue.
My choice of drink fell for the ginger, lime cleaning juice.
My fit salad
While I went for a salad my husband chose a nice dish of a wok rice. And as a big fan of mushrooms I must say this one from Portobello was truly well done. Recommended!
And when the weather is not getting better, it’s a good occasion to stay longer and…and order a dessert.
I went for a mango Ice cream.
There were was also a vegan chocolate brownie..but it disappeared in my hubby’s belly so fast that no picture could be taken!
And once full bellies we had to have this Organic grocery shopping to serve us for our next meals. Shop is right inside the restaurant and the staff is truly helpful and ready to give you an advise of your choices.
Overall I have to say that this place is absolutely delicious, fit, healthy and great experience that is definitely worth the visit while in Playa del Carmen and it does not cost you a fortune.
Now inspired on this great experience I am going to have some nice grilled mushrooms for myself with some wok rice! And ultimate next step is to learn to make a vegan chocolate brownie.
