Another weekend is over but still loads of things left to plan and prepare ahead as next week will be real busy. The Exitment is real – this weekend I am oficially opening beach season as I am heading to – PALERMO! Been looking for opening my summer with something new and exciting adventures and discoveries and I believe that Sicily is exactly what I need to give the right tune for it.

To give you a taste of my mood and hype I am having right now – listen to the song by Mark Ronson – Feel Right and it will take you there.

This acient Mediterranean capital – “città delle delizie” the city of delights (from Italian) is  more than 2700 years old where is living harmoniously Arabic domes, Baroque style churches, Art Nouveau buildings, eighteenth-century green spaces and bustling traditional markets similar to the Arab souk. All this and many other things I have already read, noted and found out about this wonderful city today as I dedicated it soley to a reserch and preparation for my short trip next week and. Also I have made a check list what to see, do and try while being there to create some wonderful memories.

Travel: Daytrip cruise to Phi Phi Islands

In every trip there is a highlight – in my Thailand getaway it was definitely island hopping and exploring myself the famous Maya Bay where was shot the famous movie ” The Beach” with Leonardo di Caprio. Of course exploring this islands was kind of dream-come-true.

As we were at Phuket on peak season – Christmas holiday period than of course it was packed of tourists and that was the reason why everything cost at least double and was fully-booked. Therefore instead of 2 day trip around Phi-Phi islands with sleepover there we went for a day trip, which I must say was not bad at all.

Celebrating new Year at beach with bear feet is one thing that I can cross out of my Travel-Bucket-list because this dream was full filled last year at Phuket, Thailand – the ultimate New Year’s destination where the weather is perfect, ranging 23°C-28°C at December and ideal for hitting beaches in flip flops and summer shorts and not getting burned immediately.

Actually I did not go there for partying but to rest, relax and regain strength for new year to start it fully recovered. Previous year has been crazily intense in work, in private life, travelling and never manage to fully stop, think and relax so this trip was something I was looking forward for last quarter and was counting days (seriously – had a countdown – Day Counter application in my phone to motivate me and keep me going).

As a traveler that prefers to have a real, local experience wherever I did not book a hotel but rented a flat in a condominium via Airbnb.com which is perfect way to save money and have your own way. Read More

Travel: Sweet and Spicy guide of Bangkok and it’s neighborhood – part II

In Sundays I write about my adventures and travel experience and also today is not an exception. As the name of the post already indicates – this will be continue my Bangkok’s story.

Actually it is not so much about Bangkok, but about places around. On 3rd day we went to explore the Floating market which is 1h outside the city so we headed there really early to not find tourist crowds. Read More

Have you ever had the feeling that a beautiful holiday seems like just like a dream when you come back home and get back to a daily routine? For me it was like that. It has passed just a month since I came back from my Christmas getaway holiday in Thailand but feels like it has been years ago.

However all the landscapes, views, colors, diversity, smells and tastes are still vivid and ready to be shared with the world. Read More

For first time in my life I decided to run away from everything and everyone and spend Christmas holidays far, far away – at beach in Thailand – more precisely at Phuket. However this will not be the story how my vacation went (it will follow later on), this will be about what I did to remain in shape during my holidays.

We all know that once you are in a foreign country it is hard to stick to “clean eating” and working out regularly, however Thailand is the place where you can definitely remain in shape.  Read More

It’s been a while since I last time managed to run away from Milan and it was not for a work.

Lately I have been travelling like a flight attendant and working day and night that’s why I said to myself (and to my boyfriend): ” That’s it! you and I need a break!and we need it now!”He completely agreed and on a sunny Sunday morning we headed North to find a place called Catedrale Vegetale – a Green tree Cathedral somewhere in mountains which was suggested by a friend . Sounded mysterious but I did not mind – in contrary was happy to get some little dose of Italian mountain beauty and have a small adventure.

My London trip has come to an end so it is a time to continue with my Japan story so can catch up with timing and switch to my European adventures.

The second part of my Japan unexpected meeting took us to Kyoto – an ancient Japan’s capital a city full of UNESCO heritage objects. Indeed it is an amazing city even more beautiful than I have imagined from the movies and books.
(One of my all time favorite books is Memoirs of a Geisha which gave me a small preview of a life of a geisha back in 30ies, strolling down the narrow streets heading to a fancy dinner party and life back in than in general). Actually Kyoto is still an active geisha district where, if you are lucky, can see a real geisha heading for a dinner appointment).
