Inspiration

When the winter comes the will to leave house to work out is reducing every week and the desire for a big cup of hot cocoa and some chocolate chip cookie along with it is growing every second. BUT you should not give in to the sweet temptations and forget your goal: dream body, summer body, loosing 5 kilos or loosing muffin top just tone your body so you can hit a spa at holidays confident about your body. So here is a daily dose of motivation to suck up and push even harder to strive for even better results.

I know the weather is not helping to get you motivated and all the Christmas decorations and sweet offers either, BUT don’t get carried away, but carry on! Don’t give up just because things get rough! Think about your future self and how thankful she will be to you resisting temptation and adding some extra effort before Christmas holiday.

I am currently away for holiday so there is temptation on every corner. (All those childhood sweets and traditioanl dishes, friends meeting and gatherings, dinner parties and brunch with loads of goodies on the table… BUT I repeat to myself my goal, motivate myself and inspire to resist the temptations but better squeeze time to hit the gym. (Yep, took even my running shoes and gym stuff with me).

So if this will not motivate you, my struggle being home and not eating everything I cannot get in Italy, and of course mum’s made cakes (she is sooooo good at it), etc. than hope these sarcastic and evil pictures will motivate you!

We all now carrots, we have seen them and we have tried them but do you know also their story? Fun facts and their health benefits? Well I am proud to inform you that I know! (..well,now!) and I am ready to entertain and share my knowledge as well with you and top with some nice tips and recipes. So let’s go!

A little bit of history – the carrot originally comes from Central Europe and the first evidence on people using them in their meals are found already 2000 years ago. Their initial colors used to be dark red.

The orange color carrots got only in 16. century when dutch crossed the red ones with yellow ones and came up with the nowadays popular orange color when they also started to grow them massively as before it was considered to be a delicatessen – aka deli food ).

Ancient Egyptians used carrots to heal people as noticed they are helping the sick recover faster while ancient Greeks called them the love potion and believed that carrots can help you fall in love faster.  (Interesting why?  and what they did to test it? Just eat them in big quantities? Presented as gifts?)  Read More

They are truly easy and fast to make so if hosting a party or just want something spooky as a treat – than this is a right recipe for you.

here is how a short video explaining it:

It’s been a while since I had been posting my food experiments, but that does not mean that I was making them – in contrary, I have been more active than ever mixing, matching, adding and experimenting.
One of my easiest, fastest preparing discovery of all time was an Egg&Mushroom frittata healthy snack which can be easily brought to work with you as it is divided by single muffin molds. Clever, huh? Read More

Welcome to Recife – Brazil and welcome to the notes from a road. Here starts our road trip of 6000km across Brazil from Recife to Porto Alegre which we will across in a car. Me, my friend Lina, my friend Paolo and his mum in a big Volvo.
This will be notes from the road, so be prepared.

1st day: o far – so good.
We have happily changed 3 planes, crossed Atlantic ocean, managed to get through all the security checks (which were a LOT), combined – English, Italian,Spanish and poor Portuguese skills to be understood, survived a night in airport of Salvador and finally arrived in Recife.
